Does my title make sense? I don’t know, I was just looking at how Facebook plans to take over the internet, think its similar to the way M$ did it but hey, I haven’t really thought about this. I think its about time I started learning the FB API more, maybe get a few hacks into my system.
The web is changing, being a simple php developer might not cut it one day and I wanna stay on top. I’m not saying I wanna follow the trend but I don’t want to be the last one to the party either.
The internet was originally a place of information, not it is our lives, the more time I spend chatting to friends on it, the more I hate it. There used to be a good source of information but now it seems like junk that looks cool but is bloody useless.
The more time spent chatting to ‘friends’ the less time I spend with my friends. I got virtually over 700 friends but I can touch no more than 5.

I’m always learning more about them and enjoy playing with them to the max but now that every tom, dick and harry sit on them instead of talking face to face, they drive me crazy. I am no longer alone enjoying the alone time.
Do you remember the sound of dial up, do you remember having a book with landline phone numbers in it? Those were my favorite days. To learn something new was a challenge and very few people had any clue what you were talking about.
IRC was the best thing around and the meetings were you could put a face and name to a nick was the best thing in the world.
The distance between reality and the virtual world was great and I loved having the two lives. Now they are one and I’m not sure who I am anymore. I’m also not sure who anyone is anymore.
How many friends do you have? Can you touch them? Can you hold them in a time of need?
